“For quite some time my wife Maureen and I had acute sinusitis. She said, “the house is making us sick”. Finally after months of doctor visits and medication Maureen decided we should check our basement. Why we did this was because we had a water problem 2 summers prior and XYZ Company did the water cleanup. Well to my dismay we detected some mold in the corners. We immediately contacted Master Tech Environmental due their internet quality reviews. Mr. Tom Duff visited the same evening. He went right to the basement and in no time discovered black mold which was under the linoleum in our partially finished side. The test equipment detected numbers that were ridiculous and sickening. Tom discussed in detail what his team of professional would do and how we would be well protected after the mold remediation. We schedule the cleanup.

A team of 5 members, headed by Tony arrived shortly after receiving the proposal and contract. There was no holding the crew back. Tony and Mark walked me through their program which took four days.

Not once did they slow down working as a team they completely emptied the base of years of clutter on one side and a complete array of desks, computer equipment, bookcases filled with hardback, paperback and audio books all which was lost to the mold. Not only did we lose the office in its entirety but seasonal clothes and coats, decorations etc. What a disaster.

For the better part of two days they removed everything from the basement. Only certain items were able to be kept. Oh boy!

The came the mold removal process. The team completely set up a plastic chamber from the entry door to the cellar steps. Over the next two days they went about the remediation. What a task at hand. The team did an awesome job. Afterwards, a walk through and discussion of all that had been cleaned was led by Tony. What a job that they did.

That was not the last of Master Tech. Just this month we had another homeowner issue which resulted in a flooded basement. After calling the insurance company, the Horizon and Delmonte Waste Removal, I called Tom at Master Tech.

Tom promised me he would have a team to my house that day. Thankfully Tony and Mark arrived around 4:00 and went right to work. Four hours later and looking a little tired, they had the fans and dehumidifier running full speed to dry out the waterless basement. If not for them I do believe my wife would have traded me and the house in for a glass of wine.
